In 2013 (5 years ago!) I put out an album called Sealife. I had barely any idea what I was doing when I made it, but I had a lot of fun doing it. This album ended up being really important to me, and it's one of those albums that I really associate with a time in my life. I'm still proud of it, and it's served as a reminder of how far I've come.

With that in mind, it's not aged well as an album - truth be told I'm not proud of how it sounds now, in 2018. 5 years later felt like the right time to do something about that. It's a bit weird to revisit this album now with no real reason to. But there's a lot of people out there who listened to this album and supported me then and have since. I wanted to put together the version of 'Sealife' that I heard in my head in 2013. I feel like I've done that.

I'm super proud to announce that on April 16th (exactly 5 years on from the original launch date of Sealife) I'll be releasing Sealife (Anniversary Edition). All 11 tracks have been reworked, remixed, and remastered with their original stems, with some new additions made to the tracks in the form of new parts / synths, and additional production to capture what Sealife should have sounded like.

If you've listened to this album, watched the awkward Islands and Oceans music video, shared it with a friend, added a track to a playlist, or even heard a snippet out of curiosity, I want to say thank you. I hope you enjoy this version of the album.

Without this album being out there, I wouldn't have met some of the people I've collaborated with, and grown friendships with. Working on this album again has been a great catalyst for reflection - a lot has changed since 2013, but I'm proud of where I've ended up, and it's great to bring Sealife into 2018.
